Well, I got done with another five pages today. It was hard on me as usual however I know I am getting through with it with the help of God so I can support my real family.

Thank you for your feedbacks. I have updated the drawing program and it seems to be a slight improvement.

I must confess I skipped a couple of versions, and when I checked this one I did not immediately realize the circle can now be dragged around with the mouse. Upon making this discovery, I immediately tried to use the mouse wheel to adjust its size ^_^

Anyway, a little thing I noticed is that when the programme is started, the mouse cursor is flickering noticeably. Maybe this is because I have DOSBox set to emulate a lot of cycles.

Also, apparently the cursor is not locked to the circle, and it is possible to lose track of where the active circle is if it blends in with an already existing background colour.

Jesus Christ!

Well, I claim to be a professional. So I am going to see if I can do something about all these feedbacks.

The first principle I have learned about getting anything done is take care of the little things and the big things will eventually come.

So I did the easy part first, it only blinks when it is updating now. So 90% of the time the mouse pointer is stable.

The reason for this is that every time it updates it has to hide the mouse so the drawing does not place the mouse pointer with the picture hehe

Then after it draws it should place the mouse pointer back on as a reference.

God wins again! hehe

Well, one thing I know about God is God always helps a humble person out!

So I am humble to God and grateful to this update!!!!!!!!!!!!

Everyone can now reference where the drawing is with the mouse pointer.

It is a little quirky so you have to get use to how it works.

Enjoy hehe

Everything seems to work fine, but a considerable part of the screen to the right is apparently not available for drawing at all.

Also it is possible to move the cursor beyond the bottom border of the screen, in which case it still works but the cursor image will occasionally flash somewhere near the centre of the screen.

Booooo! You've got good stuff; give it time. :) If you're still using that all-in-one source, take a step back from it, and only code with your current project. Add some debugging lines to see if your variables are within the ranges you expect. I can't offer anything with asm, but in C, you can try something like this in a header or at the top of your source.

Code: Select all

#define DEBUG_ON 1 // to use your output lines, 0 to skip them
Where you want to see your vars, you could try

Code: Select all

#if defined(DEBUG_ON)
    printf("var name = %d", var_name);
#endif
Of course, the format specifier would be for whatever var type you used. If you take out small pieces and work with them alone, it's a lot easier to figure out where you need to adjust things. You're doing great - don't get discouraged now. :D

Well, I have to give credits to @MrFlibble and @pseudocoder for this feedbacks; The drawing program has been updated and most has been fixed it seems. You still need to press a color key after every sketch stroke to enable the mouse again. However, other than this the mouse pointer no longer returns to the center and back. The borders has beens fixed to the right alignment. It was programmed in reversed so vertical boundaries were horizontal boundaries and vice versa. Somehow I messed that one up and by the grace of God found the answer and fixed it.

@pseudocoder: Even though I did not use your debug routine, I did get encouragement to go on. Without your kind words, I probably would have stopped and gone back to the old retarded ways hehe

Well, there are some things that are learned in life.

One of those things is always to be grateful to God!!!!!!!!!!!!

This improves the mouse detection a little bit.

Seeing there are so much to do for one program, I am still growing.
