The above is a link to a Sabrent gamepad.

Here is my Sabrent Gamepad Reader v1.2 (just released today).

P.S.
By the way, if you see more than 15 colors on any of my works, it is because of David Brackeen's routine.

If you see me using a Sabrent Gamepad routine in my works - it is because of Quadko.

If you see me writing codes it is because of Borland Turbo C 2.01 hehe (I wish it was my wife hehe)-Don't say this to who ever my real wife might be-hehe

I am bored so Hello to all my fans whether family or otherwise hehe

Microsoft/PSone details?

Post by tienkhoanguyen »

I know the Sabrent controllers comes with a USB connector.

I notice the Microsoft XBOX360 controller also is a USB connected wire.

Are there different versions?

For instance, is there a version that has a different connector for the XBOX?

Just curious since it say "XBOX360"!

Or will it work also with the XBOX 360 too out of the box?

Where can I get the USB adapter for the SONY Playstation One controller?

Just in case I wanted to tell my family and such.

Thanks Quadko............

Sony and Microsoft got smarter, and the standard XBox 360 & Playstation 3 wired controllers are USB. (I think the new XBox One and PS4 controllers are as well, but don't have any to be able to report for certain.)

You might need drivers in Windows or on a Mac (for the PS3 for example), but the same controllers will work on windows and the console, and you can switch the same controller between them no problem. :D

However, many/most windows usb controllers don't work on PS3/Xbox unless they were designed to. Driver issue - the fancy console controllers have a different protocol than "standard" computer keyboards, mice, and joysticks, aka HID devices ("Human Interface Device"). Makes some sense - random joysticks can have random buttons, but xbox/ps3 joysticks must have a specific button setup.

So nope, all the same versions! Just a question of wired and wireless. And even the wireless xbox controllers can be used on windows with a wireless receiver. I forget about playstation, it's possible they work or are just bluetooth or something. Google can tell you.

For once, "universal" really was - USB = Universal Serial Bus. It's cheaper and plenty fast to have a USB controller connection than a custom one, and then the console can support usb drives and thumbsticks and other stuff for very cheap.

Have you seen the Steam Controller yet? I'm looking forward to that one. Not sure if I want a full steambox, but the controller sure is tempting to play with.

I'm sorry about that Quadko. I wasn't able to respond all day long. Been talking to my adopted brother! He just gave me a bunch of Dillard's clothings unfortunately. I didn't want him to give me anything. However he wanted to out of his heart. Anyways, I told my mom she has an adopted son now haha (seriously).

I didn't see the steam controller. I'm pretty sure you already have plans to acquire those hehe

@Quadko:

You know, I just recently saw a Logitech controller at Office Depot. It is listed as for Windows. So that was cool. However, it does not have the prestige of Microsoft.

:) Cool! Logitech, Saitec, and CH Products don't do so bad! But their cheapest stuff is on par with the Sabrent. Their good stuff is up there with MS and Sony, and they have some specialty stuff like flightsticks. :D:D:D
