Since this isn't going anywhere...

Clue 1: This classic platformer included powerups called Blastola Cola

Blasto on the PS1? Not sure how classic it was and more of a third person game than a platformer, but that is all I can think of. It was voiced by Phil Hartman from Saturday Night Live fame.

I'm sorry if I'm out of place. However, I'm just wondering and vaguely recall Duke Nukem 1 is similar to the game Doom correct?

Duke Nukem 3D was kind of like Doom, but far superior in just about every way.

Hey, I also initially thought about Duke Nukum (I think they didn't change the title back for part one... or did they?), but actually it's The Adventures of Captain Comic, right? (not sure if I got the full title correct though)

So what is the next clue if no correct answers were given?

Wait, I just realised I violated your rules, specifically this one:
DOS Wolf wrote:Make sure you put the Guess at the very top of your post, labeled “Guess: Name of Game...” so others can clearly see it. Do not make it hidden some where in the middle and hard to find or if you get it wrong you may not edit your post.
I'm really sorry about not complying, it's just that I had a pretty busy day when posting the answer.

To fix that:

Guess: Name of Game is The Adventures of Captain Comic

Sorry, I couldn't make it on here last night. You're right, MrFlibble. The game was Captain Comic.

Okay then (sorry for the delay, busy weekend!):

Clue 1: In this game, ammo for one of the weapons is also used to power a piece of the player's non-offensive equipment.
