xcom1 [XP]

I am total box noob, but want to learn it a bit. I have the iso verion of xcom 1 and I have it iis mounted in G drive daemon tools. I have allready made the C:\oldgames folder. I have placed the xcom game in that folder. Where do i go from here?

Every time I hit the map to start my base game crashes...

Dosbox version?
Mount lines? (detailed)
How did you install the game?

BTW: you don't need deamon tools with an ISO, dosbox has an excellent imgmount command line (read the manual!!!!!)

Also: what version do you have?
With XCom1 do you mean X-COM: UFO Defense ? from 1994?
