Hmmmm .... some interesting stuffs up on those.
Latest half-life updates, 'Aces over whatever' updates, and so on .... game tools ..... etcetera .....

But hell, you need to dig deep in those ftp things to find the really interesting stuff.

There is talk about FilePlanet getting closed down, so I've started looking for alternatives

(I've been getting quite a few demo files 'n' stuff off FP lately). Most of what I've posted above I've found using FTP search engines - either independently or their results popped up in Google.

Some time ago I discovered FileWatcher.com but after successfully finding some rare stuff with it it started to give error messages, and is generally not functional now. Mamont FTP Index is pretty neat, and others that prove useful from time to time are Global FTP Search (I hate it though when it returns 0 results with a message, "We have found NOTHING.") and FileSearching.com.

There's a neat Italian site with lots of interesting (and sometimes rare) demos, but it's tough to browse because there is no easily accessible directory listing (or I haven't figured out how to get to it), and all the download links have to be edited manually to point to the site itself, because they point to a currently non-existing affiliate FTP.
