HEllo everyone
I remember a game from my childhood which had some kind of a train. When a particular button was pressed the train would pass through a tunnel and then would be seen going at a far off distance. It has some childhood memories associated with it and was hoping I could find this game agian. I think maybe it was an educational game but not sure.

Can't say that specific "the train would pass through a tunnel and then would be seen going at a far off distance* rings a bell ...
So, some random guesses:

That could also be something like a track laying puzzle game, or a "get to the train station" game, and the final success screen might be the "train successfully drives into the sunset".
Or like a civilization game, where you can see extra little cut scenes that aren't really related to the actual game.
I'm thinking of something like:
Orient Express puzzle game
Agatha Christie: Murder on the Orient Express]
Do you know around the year you would have played it?
