Im looking for a game (id know it if i could find a picture). It centres around a guy with a jet pack. Its not the game jet pack either

The movie "The Rocketeer" had a DOS game if I'm not mistaken. Never played it though, so I don't know if it fits the description.

Duke Nukem 2?

He doesn't have a jetpack the whole time, but as I recall he spends some time with it in episode 2 of DN2, and it looks similar to HH/AC with "blonder hair".

Searching MobyGames for "Jet Pack" also turned up Forgotten Worlds

Thanks so far guys, I was chatting to my sister and she remembers the game more now since hearing the duke nukem 2 game its not the same game but the sounds are very similar. we think theres an element of collecting items (as with a lot of games anyway) and he may well have been in space

Captain Comic 2: Fractured Reality gets a jetpack, collects items, and is in space, but not sure the graphics are up to the same level as DN2, etc.

IIRC, Dangerous Dave has similar sounds to Duke Nukem.

Could it be Gateworld? I'm not sure if that's exactly a jectpack on that guy's back, or just an oxygen tank...

Nope it didnt have any background music, I remember at the start of one level you would fall down a long tunnel and then get your jet pack at the beginning and you couldnt go high enough to get out that way and had to go another way.
