Average temperature is 24 C... every day, all day, year round. Always a little cloudy with a cool breeze off the ocean. Been sleeping with the windows open... in November.
Anyway, I'm not too far from Oz now... might take a trip there soon, <strike>ambush</strike> visit a few of my friends there.
Your view is beautiful!!
Offer still stands for you to come stay with us anytime, Doggy.
Really looking forward to seeing you, so i hope you do come visit soon!
Dogbreath wrote:I intend on visiting Oz sometime this spring, so long as I can afford a plane/ship there. Flights into Brisbane are expensive as fuck, though...
More expensive than the other capitals, are they?
There you go.
Gold Coast airport is close to Brisbane also for the record, if that helps with organisation.
When is 'spring'? My spring or your spring?
My spring, your fall, I guess. Not that we have seasons here .
I actually found some tickets on Jetstar around memorial day (end of May) for about $1100 round trip. If those drop down to around $800 or so by March I may go ahead and do it... it's by far the cheapest option I've seen yet.
There's a new full-service Australian airline that has just started up that i know very little about aside from the ads that have just started appearing on the radio...
They're called Strategic Airlines or something? I've only heard flights to Pukhet advertised, but they might have others - worth a look maybe.
leaving tomorrow. Heading to Japan, then Brisbane. If I get any free time, I'll try and hang out with some of you crazy Australians. Should be back in Hawaii some time next year...
Well, just got back from a month in the Philippines, living in the bush with the Filippino Marines, slaughtering and eating goats and chickens and so forth. It feels good to be back in modern civilization. (by which I mean, Japan) Pictures will follow shortly.
