I recently picked up a PCI SATA Controller card, so I could take advantage of the Seagate 320GB 7200.10 I had. I moved all my music and pictures, a total of about 25GB, plus movies and other things to take ...

Now, I got my RAM tested at the store where I bought it and it came out fine... and I got that new power supply and the damn thing still doesn't work, now if I can't find an answer to this soon I'm going to have to (shudders) let a 'professional' get it running ...

Thanks for the quick replies. a) to make sure it wasn't shorting in the back with the case I ran it outside the case altogether on a few antistatic bags so as to not kill it. b) I've run it with nothing but Processor, RAM and Video Card to make sure it wasn't any other component. c) I don't have ano...

thanks, I was hoping for a more specific listing of types though... The past few days I've been looking at the Conroes, and I must say they ARE Tempting... as much as it would mean A complete new system as opposed to migrating stuff... and even if I don't get a conroe, waiting for 24/07 is probably ...

New Computer Suggestions
OK Guys (Gals?), Time to put you to the test so to speak. I finally have a decent job so I have a mediocre cash flow so I want to get myself a new computer... now I'm completely capable of overclocking so take that into consideration when helping me here. I will need a processor, Motherboard, RAM, C...

I can't change the boot settings on my computer and was wondering if there is a way to make a boot floppy that would redirect to the CD.

I usually reformat every 1-1 1/2 years or when a severe problem occurs. Update - I reformatted and reinstalled again, and the progress bar just stops at a different point now. Then I ran chkdsk, which said 1 or more errors were found and fixed, but still wouldn't load. I reformatted again after that...
