Yeah I guess there is no DOS version. The biggest thing that held me back from dismissing it was the logo on the CD cover itself. I guess I'll have to try to run the game inside Windows 95 on DOSBox, if that's even possible. The game appears to run fine otherwise on 7, just crashes. Thanks for the i...

SODA Off-Road Racing: Anyone know where to find it for DOS?
Hello, SODA Off-Road Racing is one of my favorite racing games of all time! It's exactly the type of racing game I love to play, will run on just about any computer, and has a great track designer for its day. Problem is, it crashes frequently on Windows 7 when I race with computer opponents, even w...

Sure! I put it under the list of games with unofficial/third party editors. I looked up Camoto, I think I'm going to have to check that out. Sounds very cool!Malvineous wrote:Does Wacky Wheels count? You can edit tracks with Camoto.

Something a bit more recent ? http://www.mobygames.com/game/ridge-racer-unbounded A bit older .... http://www.mobygames.com/game/racing-destruction-set Hey, thank you! I'm currently looking to keep this particular list restricted to Windows and DOS games. Though both of those are great games. I own...

List of racing games with track editors!
Hello, I am putting together what I call the "master list" of PC racing games with track editors. I'm a huge fan of racing games that come packaged with track editors, as it adds infinite replay value to a racing game with great gameplay mechanics. I've been on an "editor" rage, ...

Oh man! I didn't realize all of the responses I got. I didn't get the email notifications. I got my work cut out for me, for checking all of these gmes out. In this case, I'm going to limit my original to perhaps either games that came with built-in campaign/scenario editors, or personal favorites. ...

No, I've not played Breach in a long time and never played 3 (yet). Any chance it's a tactical problem and you need good cover? Or a game speed problem somehow, and you need to slow it down? I think it's more a tactical issue. The game runs fine as far as speed goes, so it's definitely not speed. I...

Sweet! I'm very interested if you can scare that Westnoth link up sometime. Thanks! Yes, I love JA as well, but only was exposed to it when it hit GOG.com. I've had fun in the early campaigns of the first one, but I need to spend more hours playing it to maximize potential. So many good choices, so...

Cool topic, I look forward to people's answers. Not much to add, except to maybe mention Age of Wonders is similar to your list and potentially having an editor - I don't recall exactly. But I've never had luck running Battle for Wesnoth on Windows, always major stability problems. It's been a whil...

Games with Campaign Editors?
Hello! Does anyone know of some good DOS or older Windows games with a full blown campaign editor? Lately I've been playing around with C-Dogs, Jagged Alliance: Deadly Games and Wargame Construction Set III: Age of Rifles. By far, I like Jagged Alliance DG the best, but the game seems to crash a lot...

Thanks! SiN looks pretty cool too. My main reason for preferring DOS games is because they're a little easier to make portable on a USB stick with DOSBox, and they're all guaranteed to run in a window if I need it. I occasionally get stuck in a nameless place for a long period of time with not too m...

Thanks! I'm going to check out the Wolf3D mods. Also wanted to mention a couple of unlikely games that probably don't quite fit the criteria, but could have stealth elements in a round about way: Jagged Alliance: Deadly Games - I think this game is awesome. Though it's turn-based, it's awesome. Ther...

Legal Tender Lethal Tender looks pretty cool! I'll see if I can grab a copy of that one. I'm surprised there aren't any mods for Wolfenstein 3D or Doom/Doom II. I got hooked on Rainbow Six and Splinter Cell an recently started replaying them. I thought it'd be cool to find DOS games similar to that...

I also think Relentless (a.k.a. Little Big Adventure ) does have stealth elements, although I'm not sure if being stealthy is required throughout the whole game. Basically, the genres to look for stealth elements in the first place are either adventure (or action/adventure) or RPG/roguelike games. ...

Well, maybe it's a bit of a stretch, but you can play as a stealthy character in The Elder Scrolls: Daggerfall , using such skills as stealth and backstabbing, and also the magic school of illusion. I forgot about Daggerfall, however I think I was quick to write it off. There are plenty of great DOS...

Any good stealth action games for DOS??
Hello! I was playing a stealth action game the other day, and I thought it'd be cool if I could add some type of stealth or stealth action game to my DOS game library. Does anyone know of a game like this for DOS? Something where you try to take out enemies from unseen areas or shadows, but still ha...

Stunts Track Editor Help
Hello, I have (hopefully) a very simple question about the track editor for Broderbund's Stunts game, Is there a list of exact rules about tile placement in the track editor? It seems like pretty much every time I get done building a huge track, the game won't let me race and brings me back to the e...
