Smiley Royal Rumble & Smiley Racer True by Henry Truong (1999)

I found an archived screenshot of the other game: Thank you, I had been looking for that screenshot as well but thought it was as lost as the zip archives. At least now with the screenshots I could write them again. Interesting; looking at the IA history for that file it says it picked up a copy in...

Smiley Royal Rumble & Smiley Racer True by Henry Truong (1999)

Hi everyone. I have been looking for this game for the past few years and recently had a bit of of a breakthrough thanks to someone on Mastodon being able to find a screenshot. I downloaded Smiley Racer True and Smiley Royal Rumble from dosgames.com in 1999 both games where listed in the Miscellaneo...

Looking for ASCII DOS game Smiley Royal Rumble

I seem to remember getting SmileyRoyalRumble.zip and SmileyRacerTrue.zip from dosgames.com but can't find them in the listing today. From memory they were hands off simulators. Smiley Royal Rumble was simply a case of setting up how many smiles and how many rounds and then watching them all "fi...

If the 5.25" drives have a similar interface to 3.5" drives then it shouldn't really be that hard for someone in the know to hack the usb interface for a 3.5" drive to a 5.25" one.

Unfortunately its been a good five years since I did things like that so I would be no good.

hopefully those old 5.25" discs you have are still in working order... dont they have a 20 year shelf life or something like that before they begin to "forget" their content?

hot summer

How is everyone enjoying the summer? Or more importantly how are your computers handling it? My Mac pro shows a cool 31degC on one of my dual core chips in a room which is currently 23degC at 1.21am. Oddly it doesnt rise much even when the room hits almost 30degC during midday when the sun is beatin...

After reading this thread I thought I would write a how to with screenshots as one isn't really available on the net. Then I decided to go one further and create a osx app package which would run turbo C (within dosbox) under osx, something I do with all my dos games (means 100 or so copies of dosbo...
