Seems most who come here are into the nostalgia attached to these games...is there anyone else like me who have come fresh,ie I didnt play dos games at all?

Precursors to newer games.
Im interested in dos versions of games Im used to playing these days.
C&C is an obvious example of a once dos-version.
How about Shogun Total War? And Medieval Total War (first version)? Were there precursors for these games in Dos?
