w00t! My parents flew up to Seattle for a visit, and gave me a CRITICAL clue! Dad said it was called "The Amazing Maze Game", and sure enough, searches for that title revealed a game nearly identical to what I am remembering. Unfortunatly, the original game was released for arcade machines...
