Huh? I just tried posting, but the forum said I had 'cia lis' in my post and threw it away. So I wrote it again, saved it to notepad, and it still did it. It turns out that the word "so cial ist" was triggering the spam filter, because it has ci al is in it. Anyway, it turns out I spoke to...

Just for kicks, here's what remains of the vague memory now that I've found IGB, to see what would happen if I tried to isolate the game. At this point, however the memory is too mixed up with IGB and possibly Harpoon, and too faded to have many disctinct markings to re-find it. :blah: The story was...

I found the game on http://archives.scovetta.com/pub/fehq/DOSGames/00_index.htm, and got it running. Well, this complicates things a little. The game definately has PARTS of what I was looking for. For example, there's no chance this energy allocation thing ISN'T what I was looking for: http://i4.ph...

Vinal Goddess From Mars

Vinal Goddess of Mars? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vinyl_Goddess_from_Mars Whatever happened to that game, anyway? All I remember (besides thinking it she was "vinyl") was that it was downloadable back in the dial-up days when I first had AOL, and only the first episode was playable. Did...

Very old top-down space battle simulation

I already posted about this game back in 2007, but didn't ever get a very good answer. I still might now, but I was looking through my Forums links, found this, and decided "eh, it couldn't hurt to give it another try, now that it's two and a half years later". And this time, rather than t...

Is this really a DOS game?

Anyway, the game I got came with a big (but interesting) manual. Read the manual and you should be fine. If you don't have a paper copy, I'm sure there's one on the CD, or you could just play the tutorial a few more times.

Doesn't ring a bell. Too much specific information, not enough general information. I'd be a lot easier to find if you remembered what year it was made, whether it was side, top, or isometric view, what company made it, and stuff like that. I feel your pain. I tried for months to find a game that I ...

Re: Solar Winds

I downloaded Solar Winds 2 from a file sharing program. It's a shell of the game Solar Winds 1 was. It wasn't very interesting or difficult, and I finished it within two hours.

Not quite. The game I'm thinking of didn't really have resource collection. Also, it's graphics were a bit simpler.

http://www.mobygames.com/game/windows/gilbert-goodmate-and-the-mushroom-of-phungoria Only link that came up after a search on Mobygames for "Gilbert". However, your game sounds just like every single Snake game ever made, so I'd suggest just getting one of those, like Police Patrol 3000 at...

Finding old game

There's this old game I'm trying to remember. Trouble is, my memory of it's very hazy, and it shares aspects of many other games. I've tried Yahoo! Answers, GameSpot forums, a long, hard look on MobyGames, Retro Gamer Forum, but still havn't found it. Here's all I can remember about it: The story wa...

i am a very strange person ;) What I meant to say is What do you mean by "but slowly me and some friends"? Are you trying to be able to play the shareware version indefinately? Actually, I think that the shareware version doesn't have all the files, so even if you did crack the time limit...

Lol. funny you should say that. I got the .rar for the full version, but I'm having trouble getting it to work, and I'm tearing at it like a fat man tearing at a twinky in kevlar wrapping :)
