Try installing it either via VDMS or DosBox. One of them should get the sound running, at least that's my experience with other games which are about as old as RtZ

@ Faun: Did you install the game under VDMS, too? That might help, just in case you didn't.

I do not think that MoSlow and VDMS work together, so it has to be either one. Many times I have been quite successful getting old games to run (because DOS does NOT!! on my computer, so I cannot throw my Win 2000 out) playing with the compatibility and performance tab in the VDMS properties. Nah, I gave up on DOSBox. Either I am too stupid to handle it right, or it doesn't like my computer. VDMS is great for nearly all my DOS games.

VDMS has EMS control as well, that's not the problem.

And as I said, I get the game running, just don't like the way it has to be controlled.

I struggled through that one, too and now play it smoothly with VDMS. The trick is that in the beginning of the installation procedure the setup asks you for your sound config. Choose "Sound Blaster" by all means and uncheck the option at the bottom of this window where it asks you for aut...

You can get buttermilk in your local grocery shop (I suppose). It is cheaper than all this chemical stuff and also more effective.

I installed part 1 quite easily... just have to remember how, and then used VDMS on it. Runs fine. Part 2 was about the same, but I have to check. Part 3 (Malcolm's Revenge) was the worst. It took me like 5 trials to finally get it running. Must be the game where you have the sound card installation...
