I suggest that you use VDMS - runs most dos games perfectly, with sound and smoothly.

Dudes- don't bother using the all crappy Dosbox and try out VDMS instead. Dosbox is hard to use, uncomfortable and runs very slow. Now VDMS is another pair of boots. After like 10 minutes with it you will get the hang of it and it runs perfectly all the Kyrandia games.

I just checked with Dosbox- works with music etc. but it doesn't quite suit me , as Dosbox is extremely slow. Odd really.

100% sure. You have to understand- the music is there alright , I can listen to it in Windows Media Player. I remember that it worked allright on Windows 98...

Ow god, you will have to work your memory harder because the desciption you have given to us is practically unexistent.

Yeah, i tried your suggestion but didn't work. I did find a solution though on the the-underdogs.org forum with using vdmsound. It works quite fine,definitively smoother than on Dosbox, only the mouse tends to move a little bit choppy.

Nope, it always gives me the same error- not enough memory. Very odd really , I mean, memory isn't too much a problem nowdays in most games with such brilliant programs as VDM SOUND which simulates memory for dos games and as well the Windows XP compability box where you can set the ammount of memor...

Thank you for your reply though the patch which updated the game to 1.02 version did work and I don't encounter such issues anymore. As to your reply about memory- it didn't help with running in command prompt but it works great in Dosbox with sound and everething.

Yup, agree it's almost for sure Quest For Glory 1. The guy didn't have a purple cape i think but everything else is very much simmiliar to QFG1.

I can't decrease sound quality and I got only Sound Blaster original and Sound Blaster enchanced to choose from. Neither of which worked. I got Sound Blaster Live maybe that will help.

Hi. I've recently tried to run QFG 1 VGA version on XP and i used the enchanced sound blaster drivers for audio and for music i used General Midi. Well, I have no idea then
I suggest that you just give it up. As I said movies are played very seldom during the game and still, you don't know if the other movies will not work. Just play, enjoy and have some laugh.
