DOS Games Discussion

I know this is a forum for dos games, but since you guys are pretty good at identifying games, I suggested that she post her description here.

Once again, going off of memory here. I think I just put it in a folder.. Then just run scummvm.exe and Add Game. Direct it towards the game folder. Then start! I probably would have gotten confused reading the texts that came with it. That's why I always read the instructions last.

I got ScummVM Windows Installer (1.0M Win32 .exe). I have Win 2k, but that one should work with all the supported versions of Windows. Unless I am wrong.

Same problem here, using Win2k

Try ctrl + esc or ctrl + shift +esc. Just a suggestion, no clue if those will work. They work with some modern games, though.

Doh, nm just saw that VDMSound doesn't work in ME.

That sounds like a game I've been looking for.. My memory of it is very vague, though. I think it was freeware or shareware and that I downloaded it back then from a BBS.

Once it's installed, just right-click your games executable and select open with VDMS.

I haven't tried this with Kings Quest games yet. It has enabled the sound in all my dos games so far, though.

I am currently in the pod, trying to rescue my engineer who is floating off into outer space. When I try to move the pod begins going in really fast loops and I run out of gas before I can stop it. Does this mean I need to run a program to slow down my computer, or is there some trick to it? Thanks ...

I just finished that very game a couple of days ago.. The way I did it was to get right over a nomad camp and let air out of the baloon really fast.. You sort of go in circles until you land. I never got it on the first try, but it always worked eventually. You may have to stop at several nomad camp...
