Thanks for the tips guys! I actually tried connecting a external keyborad to it. The problem is that the laptop still reads the internal keyboard first, so the CTRL key that's glitching still makes the system mostly unusable, because the comp "Thinks" the key sometimes is pressed down, ev...

Heh, a while ago I considered learning Spanish .... to study seriously you need quite a lot of time. That's very true - especially once family, work, etc take precedence. レット・アズ・ビギン&#12...

This part made me think so much of one of the Pitfall games; try milling over a vid or two from youtube and see if it's maybe Pitfall: The Lost Expedition.

The turtle pace speed was pretty good, but I had cheating in mind. The X and O could move at normal speed while the text was slowed down so that I could target and hit it. :P Are the movements were tied together? It seemed that each object moved at the same speed and is updated as one. Is it possibl...

That's another cool one though in my olden years, my reflexes are a bit too slow to keep up with the pace... maybe add a "game speed" option for the next demo?

I like how the cross hair lights up on collision... that's a great feature.

People still use floppy disks? I haven't seen any floppy discs for sale in years though I haven't looked very hard. Ok. it was just a curiosity. I wasn't sure if floppys in general expired after a long period of time or whether other factors came into play The answer is both; the media will...

http://www.mediafire.com/download/n8dqw30jy554cu6/marb0003.zip This one is curious; my side, I think, is spotted 100 points. I like the burning flame effect... that's pretty cool looking. ftp://ftp.lanet.lv/pub/mirror/x2ftp/msdos/programming/ That's a shadow of its former self; much of this stuff was found at cdrom.com before they folded... a lot of good material was lost when the geocities, angelfire, excite, etc sites closed as well. Thanks to whoever maintains that site... MrFlib...

Re: developing new retro games

Thinking about making a retro game and was wondering... If you're interested in making games, then you should take a stab at them whenever you get the chance... the medium isn't important, but the experience is. I like to try the old school games at any stage... it's fun to see how others tackle ch...

Clue: This arcade game machine made its debut in the mid 80s, it had a bit of a police theme, and to my knowledge, was ported, albeit poorly, to at least one console of that era. I remember seeing OPM in my local Electronics Boutique (gamestop now?) store; I think I purchased four issues at the store before getting a 2 yr sub back in the late 90s, so the per issue cost wasn't that bad. At first, the demos were awesome even with genres that I didn't normally play. I got a kic...
