Right click the exe - select properties - hit the memory tab and set EMS to Auto - I assume that is what you mean when you say you tried the properties. Well, technically speaking that should work. Your error looks as though you've either not got enough conventional or EMS memory. One of those or pe...

Well, you can load some of it into high memory and the Upper Memory blocks. To do that you need to have

Pure DOS..Windows ME...easy :) There is a patch for Windows ME that enables Pure DOS mode (previously locked by M$). The patch is not supported by Microsoft and therefore I guess there can be no guarantee. Only place I've found which still hosts a working download for it is here . There are probably...

Hm...I remember a program circling around a while ago but I've never used it.....PITSET... Slow DOS game performance and/or music Some games will run slower under Windows 9x/NT/2k than they do in DOS. This is caused by the way Windows emulates the timer interrupt. Sounds about right doesn't it? Down...

In which case we're getting closer. Ok I don't have access to the game (a download or the money to buy it :p) so I can't do much here other than guess for you. Ok, we'll take an example where the game is in C:\games\toons. ok? Edit C:\games\toons\Toonstrk.cfg Set CD = D:\ Make sure you save the file...

In DOSBox you can mount a drive as a CD drive. e.g. if your game was in C:\games\toon and you wanted to mount it as a cd drive do this:

mount d c:\games\toon -t cdrom

Now the D drive is a CD-ROM drive with the contents of C:\games\toon in it ;)

The version by Ilan Rav??
Any chance you could give more info on exactly what is wrong with it? Have you tried using DOSBox? or VDMS?

Shouldn't this be in "Get Games to Work" Forum?

Would be more helpful if you could give more information like OS and Speed..and perhaps some error messages or better descriptions. I'll assume you're on XP given that you said you didn't have access to DOS in part 8. SO I'll run my tests on XP SP1 1. Return to Zork I don't have the game ...
