Brøderbund (aka Broderbund) Software was established in 1980 and became a well-known developer and publisher of both applications and games for PCs, including many educational titles. Some of their popular non-game titles included The Print Shop, PrintMaster, 3D Home Architect, and Family Tree Maker, while their gaming series included Where in the World is Carmen Sandiego?, Lode Runner, and Prince of Persia.
